Many women are plagued by unwanted hair – facial hair in particular. When a woman has facial hair she feels unattractive. When a woman feels unattractive it can affect every aspect of her life. She worries that people see it, and how she is perceived by them. Needless to say her self-esteem can be very low. Thankfully, unsightly, unwanted hair can be permanently removed. Tweezing, waxing, shaving, sugaring, and threading are all temporary methods of hair removal. The only way to remove hair permanently is to disable the follicle. In order to disable the follicle the vein feeding the hair must be destroyed. Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. Electrolysis was invented by an ophthalmologist in 1875 and is still the only method the FDA will allow to be claimed as “permanent hair removal”. It works on any type of hair, and any color of hair. Skin color plays no role in electrolysis. It requires multiple visits because each individual hair grows at it’s own rate. Therefore all the hair growing in an area is never out at the same time. It is not painless. But, it works. It is worth it. Once electrolysis has begun other temporary methods of removal are not necessary. If the sessions are timed properly then the patient should not need to do anything to the hair between visits. As the hair erupts through the skin it can be treated and removed. When there is no more hair growth most women feel like a whole new person. Their self-esteem sky rockets and that affects every aspect of their life. |
