Let’s Have A Conversation About Health: Healthy Digestion

Our organs endure toxic residue from the foods, beverages, drugs and supplements we consume. This inhibits the body’s ability to function to its optimum, resulting in minor and/or major health disharmonies known as sickness or diseases (constipation, weight gain, heart disease, acid reflex, diabetes, high blood pressure, and fibromyalgia, etc.). Digestive imbalances and constipation are our major health issues.

Because of our Standard American Diet (SAD), toxic waste builds up in the body resulting in poor digestion. Our digestive system is the most powerful system of the body because it maintains our nutritional values for health, wellness and longevity. Food and liquid interact with our digestive system, positively or negatively. These substances (fried, denatured, unripe, sugary, and microwaved foods, sodas, alcohol beverages etc.) corrupt our digestive process, encouraging medications, surgeries, disease and premature death.

Health, wellness and longevity are accomplished through reestablishing appropriate digestion. Eating foods in proper combination allows our digestive system to process foods in a timely manner allowing assimilation of nutrients and expulsion of waste byproducts from food.

Our body has designated locations to digest food chemistry. Starch is digested in the mouth. Protein is degraded in the stomach. Fats (lipids) and sugars are transformed in the small intestines, allowing our digestive system to nourish our body with essence nutrients. The small intestine’s job is to separate waste from nutrients and transform nutrients into nourishing chemicals that infuse into our blood for health, wellness and longevity.

Fasting for a number of days is another way of reestablishing digestion, because fasting inhibits digestion, allowing the system to rest. This rest aids the body in releasing toxics from the organs. It assists in increasing the body’s enzymatic process of breaking down foods, promoting better nutritional absorption.

Fasting is the process of drinking water and/or juices along with taking herbal supplements to clean, detox and nourish the cells, tissues and organs of the body. It assists the body in removing waste from the bowel tract and increasing healthy friendly bacteria in the small intestines. It also has the ability to reduce and/or eliminate leaky gut syndrome. Leaky gut syndrome is when the small intestine is unable to separate waste byproducts for foods and drinks consumed and stores them as waste. The small intestines walls become irritated by the waste, which leaks into your blood creating health disharmonies.

Be well and enjoy your life.
