Reiki, Reflexology and Acupuncture

Every day we experience energy within and around us, in part, by how we feel in our bodies, minds and spirits. How do these parts of you feel on your best days compared to how they feel on your worst days? This comparison gives us a glimpse into how we experience our energy. It is important to be able to relieve or balance the energetic tensions we carry with us.

Reiki, reflexology and acupuncture are different ways to help to achieve energetic symmetry in and around us. They partner very well with traditional western medicine by providing information from additional levels of integral interactions that contributes to the maintenance of the health and wellness of our whole selves.

Reiki practitioners receive and send energy. They prepare by going inside themselves to become quiet and focus on the tools they are given to provide Reiki. The client is asked to make themselves comfortable by sitting or lying down fully clothed. Stating an intention for the desired result directs Reiki energy to the person’s concerns. The practitioner holds their hands over or lightly touches the person. Energy can be exchanged to and from the person through the practitioner’s hands. They may each or both feel this as heat or coolness, tingling, pulsing or rushing. Reiki can be directed toward specific issues and/or general wellness for the client. At the end of the session they are greatly relaxed. Pain and anxiety are often much reduced or removed.

Reflexology is based on areas in the feet that reflect to the specific areas of the body. Congestion (hard areas, gritty areas) felt in these reflexes by the Reflexology practitioner and the client indicate that an area of the body may not be functioning at its best. Working on these areas allows the body to work more efficiently by easing the congestion and allowing relaxation and pain relief. Clients receive the double benefit of feeling much better over all and enjoying a great foot massage.

Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that originated over 2,500 years ago in ancient China. Acupuncture treats a variety of dis-harmonies in the body and mind, from back pain, insomnia, anxiety, digestive disorders, to migraines and allergies. Acupuncture is an alternative blessing to patients wanting to come off opioids, patients that prefer a holistic approach, or those that desire additional, complimentary support to their western medical program.
