Chemical Peel Treatments Get Younger-Looking, More Beautiful Skin

When you look in the mirror, do you see dull, cracked skin with fine lines and wrinkles emerging around your nose, mouth, and brow? Are you looking for a way to reverse the signs of aging on your face? Something that will give you back your youthful, dewy skin?

Chemical peel treatments can significantly and dramatically improve the look and feel of your skin, making your face touchable soft and youthful. And that's not all-chemical peels work wonders on your hands, arms, legs, chest, and neck, too. You don't have to accept rough, leathery skin. With a chemical peel, you can see younger-looking, smoother skin again.

How Do Chemical Peels Work and What Do They Treat?

A chemical peel is a solution of enzymes and other active ingredients that will dissolve and chemically exfoliate the dead and damaged skin cells clinging to the surface of your skin, leaving behind young, fresh cells.

Chemical peels treat fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, scars, sun damage, and other evidence of premature aging.

Depending on the level of damage to your skin, you can choose between three kinds of peels, ranging from subtle improvements with little recovery time to more dramatic improvements that require a few days for your skin to fully recover from treatment.

What Is the Treatment Like?

After cleansing the area to be treated, the chemical peel is applied. You may feel a tingling or minor burning sensation at first, but this will fade, as the solution also contains ingredients that act as a mild anesthetic.

During treatment, you'll be able to lie back and relax, and afterward you'll be able to go home or go about your normal daily activities, as long as you stay out of the sun and take care of your skin.

What Can I Expect After a
Chemical Peel Treatment?

In the days after your chemical peel, scabs or small flakes may develop over the area that was treated to protect the new skin cells.

Gently rub these away with a mild facial cleanser and warm water. After a short healing time, you'll see younger skin with fewer lines, wrinkles, blotches, and/or scars.

Remember, though, that deeper peels, which require more healing time, always have more dramatic results than lighter peels.
