Specific instructions should be given by the primary care physician and chiropractor with respect to proper exercise for the patient’s condition before beginning any exercise program.

By performing strengthening exercises that relate to your core musculature you will strengthen your back, which will help reduce episodes of back pain. There are a lot of different activities that can be done to strengthen a person’s core. Most of these exercises can be done in a gym or at home with little to no equipment cost.

Ask your chiropractor for core stabilization exercises. Cardiovascular activities are also important because these activities promote proper digestion, keep the muscles in proper tone and promote better circulation. Walking briskly around the block at least once or twice is a convenient and popular activity and can be done by people of any fitness level.
