Smile and the World Smiles With You
I recently missed my quarterly dental appointment, and it may take awhile to get another one (my dentist is really good). My pearly whites need some help in the mean time, so I found a few foods that will give me a boost
- Apples have malic acid which is great for cleaning your teeth and removing stains. Plus, the chewing and crunching (fiber) helps too.
- Broccoli also has fiber to help cleaning. But it also reduces inflammation in the teeth and gums.
- Raisins are sweet and sticky but they cause an increase in saliva that helps fight cavities and prevents plaque.
- Water, more and more water. It's good for everything. It helps wash away debris and prevent plaque.
- Strawberries have malic acid and antioxidants. This helps with stains as well as inflammation (of gums). Plus the antioxidants are great for your heart.
So, eat good food, brush your teeth and be happy. Eat what you love, love what you eat.
