Happy – Happiness is a state of being. Give happiness away to others so that it can come back to you. Happiness is not something you can buy; happiness is something you acquire. We have the option to be whatever we like. Happiness comes from the little things we do, or dont do. Happiness is waking up in the morning and deciding that today is a day when I will simply be happy. Now how can I do that?
First, you can make an affirmation with your self and it should be a daily affirmation. “Today I AM happy.” Remember with the right attitude you will get from the divine universe what you put into it. When you are happy and spread that happiness with others you will find that those things will make you happy.
New – New means to have something unused. It can be a person, place, an idea, thought or thing.
To wake up in the morning is something new, a new day, a fresh start. With the newness of the beginning of a new day is a gift and an opportunity to start something new. We get to do whatever we like because we are the first in our day. We have complete control in how we use our time, our thoughts in our new day.
Year – A year is 365 days. In our New Year, we get the gift of having 12 months, 52 weeks giving us a total of 365 days.
Wow, what a gift. Now what are we going to do with 365 days? Let us see. Just think if these days were money, how we would spend our money. Lets see $365, $1 for each day of the year. How will we spend it? We could blow about $50 on cigarettes, booze, sex, or whatever controls our senses, leaving us with $315. We could give about $40 to charity, church, or some worthy cause (so we can ensure a return on our money thru cosmic forces). Now we have $275. We can go out to dinner, we can buy more new clothes, jewelry, shoes, etc.
After spending your $365 on those things it doesnt leave us with much. To have a New Year or 365 days how you use your time and your money is your choice. As you can see it goes fast and you really havent done much. Such is life, it goes fast and we really havent done much. Now is the time to make up your mind to finally do something this year. Commit to something positive this year, and when you make a commitment stick to it. Commit to yoga and conscientious living, commit to taking better care of your mind and your body. See it trough. The good news is a New Year comes every year and we get a chance to start over.
