New Technology For Fat Reduction: Reducing Fat and Re-shaping the Body

Dieting and exercising are effective ways of reducing weight and improving one’s health and appearance. However, many women find it difficult to keep these up, especially if they have busy schedules. And many find that even if with diet and exercise, some ‘problem areas’ of the body have stubborn fat that just won’t go away, no matter how hard you try. This is normal and it happens to most people but if you find it frustrating, why not try a different approach?

A newer technology that may be able to help is called VASERshape. This technology uses two ultrasound beams that focus on the fat layer of the skin. When the two beams meet, fat cells are disrupted or destroyed. The fat can then be removed by the body’s normal process.

Using a combination of ultrasound and massage therapy to breakdown cell wall membranes allows fat to escape into the interstitial fluid of the body. Then the fat can be eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system and liver.

Because this treatment is non-invasive is gives patients the option of targeted fat reduction without surgery. It can help to reshape problem areas.

What makes this treatment unique is that it treats problem areas of the body, which often remain unaffected by diet and exercise. Selectively removing stubborn fat deposits can give you a better body contour. Since it is non-invasive,you can get this treatment on your lunch hour and go right back to work. It is a great alternative for people who want to treat a problem area of the body but absolutely do not want to run the risk of anesthesia or surgery.

Although results with VASERShapemay be seen after one treatment, a series of 5-6 treatments is generally recommended.

These treatments take one hour and are performed approximately one week apart, which allows adequate time for the lymphatic system to recover between treatments. The size of a treatment area is about the size of a sheet of paper (8 1/2 x 11), which can be divided into sections when working on areas of the body such as the arms and legs.
