Reflexology

Reflexology has roots in China, Japan, Russia, and Egypt. In China, the early physicians used acupressure and reflexology to heal the body.

What Is Reflexology? Reflexology is a principal based on science that states that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and face that correspond directly with the glands, organs, and other parts of the body. Reflexology is a method of using the thumbs and fingers to stimulate reflex areas that corresponds to the different parts of the body.

Reflexology works on the reflexes that trigger physiological changes in the body and mind to help the body heal. Reflexology is a deeply relaxing therapy that stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic system. It helps the body release any blockages in the flow of energy in and around the body. It allows energy to move freely throughout the body to help the body stay healthy.

The body is divided into 10 energy zones from head to toe. There are five zones on each side of the midline (center) of the body. Energy flows through theses zones. The flow of energy ends in the feet and hands; these form reflex points.

The right foot represents the right side of the body and the left foot represents the left side of the body. There are organs on both sides of the body. The right lung corresponds to the right foot, and the left lung corresponds to the left foot.

Reflexology is a holistic approach where the whole body is treated. Each gland and organ is interconnected, and when stimulated it improves your health and gives you a sense of well being.

Reflexology has a positive effect on our health in many ways and is beneficial for any age. Reflexology clears blockages in the flow of energy around the body, which may help to reduce stress and tension. Reflexology may also improve circulation, alleviate pain, balance the nervous system, boost the lymphatic function, stimulate a sluggish and congested system, improve sleep patterns, increase energy and vitality, detoxify and cleanse the body, improve skin tone and condition, and promote self healing.

If you have persistent aches and pain, reflexology is an effective way to communicate with your body to heal the source of your pain.

Try several sessions of reflexology and reiki. Chances are a lot of your discomfort comes from stress, anxiety, fear, hatred, poor diet, negativity in your thoughts and behavior and, of course, your diet.
