Struggling With Weight Loss?

Making a resolution to achieve a healthy weight is one of the best decisions you can make. But most people find this easier said than done.
The good news is that no matter your weight loss goal, even a modest weight loss, such as five to 10 percent of your total body weight, is likely to produce health benefits, such as improvements in blood pressure, blood cholesterol, and blood sugars – and a reduced risk for chronic diseases.
Weight loss is also likely to improve your life in other ways. For example, a study of participants in the National Weight Control Registry found that those who had maintained significant weight loss reported improvements in not only their physical health, but also their energy levels, physical mobility, general mood, and self-confidence.
Weight loss can be achieved by eating fewer calories or by burning more calories with physical activity. A healthy weight loss program consists of:
A realistic goal
A low-calorie, nutritionally-balanced eating plan
Regular physical activity
A behavior change plan to help you stay on track
For most of us, weight loss doesn’t happen overnight. This can lead to frustration because we want to see results right away.
If you find yourself frustrated, consider non-invasive body contouring. While this won’t magically reduce your weight, it’s a great complement to any weight management strategy.
What Is Body Contouring?
Body contouring offers a way to reduce excess fat and cellulite in problem areas like the abdomen (love handles), thighs (saddle bags), arms, buttocks, knees, etc. These areas are often resistant to diet and exercise, especially as we age.
One body contouring treatment that has had a lot of success is called VASERShape. This non-invasive, fat reduction treatment uses ultrasound and massage therapy to break down cell membrane walls, allowing fat to escape. The fat is then removed naturally through the lymphatic system and liver.
There is no downtime and treatments typically take one hour. It is also a great alternative for people who want to treat a problem area of the body but do not want to run the risk of anesthesia or surgery.
Although results with VASERShape are measurable after one treatment, a series of 5–6 treatments is recommended. Results may vary.
If you’re unhappy with the results of your weight loss efforts – or even if you just want to improve your body shape and/or reduce the appearance of loose skin – contact a VASERShape provider and ask them if you’d be a good fit for this procedure.
