Food and Your Face

There are lots of ways to protect your skin. A nice hat, SPF 15 and up, and avoid tanning beds. But what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body. Here are a few foods that help decrease wrinkles and give you that special glow

Strawberries Anti-aging and decreasing of free radicals due to the Vitamin C

Olive Oil Anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties soften skin (can be used topically or orally with cooking)

Green Tea More anti-oxidants, which reduce the risk of skin cancer. You can drink a cup once a day, or put tea bags on your eyes to reduce swelling

Pumpkin Full of carotenoids, which helps decrease wrinkles. It also has high doses of Vitamin C and E, which are great anti-oxidants

Pomegranate Lots of anti-inflammatory properties (especially when eaten) and as a scrub for exfoliating

So, eat your fruits and vegetables. Your skin will thank you.
