Benjamin Abramowitz, MD

Benjamin Abramowitz, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and general ophthalmologist. Dr. Abramowitz is specialty-trained in the latest glaucoma lasers and surgeries, including trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and the new and expanding field of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He also performs cataract surgery as a stand alone or combined procedure.

Dr. Abramowitz has presented his research at numerous national, regional, and local meetings and authored several manuscripts and a book chapter on glaucoma. He remains active in clinical research to find new treatments for glaucoma. Dr. Abramowitz has volunteered in eye clinics in underserved communities and participated in mission trips to South America. He is also engaged in patient education and quality improvement projects to enhance healthcare delivery to the public.
