The Top 3 Signs Of Aging

…and How To Look Fabulous In Your 60s, and Beyond

Have you ever heard the saying that men become more distinguished as they get older? And women… well, they just get older? There is actually scientific data that backs this up which shows that after the age of 50 women’s skin ages faster than their male counterparts – up to three times faster.

Lifestyle factors and genetics also play a role, but the cards are simply often stacked against aging women who want to look fabulous in to their 60s, and beyond.

While this isn’t fair, the good news is that technology is now available which can help even the playing field – without surgery.

By the time women reach their 60s they are likely to have these prominent signs of aging:

  1. Under the Chin – A sagging neck, also known as “turkey neck,” is one of the most common side effects of aging, and can often create the illusion of a double chin.
  2. Around the Eyes – Crow’s feet and droopy eyebrows can make you look tired and angry all the time. This does not reflect how you feel inside.
  3. Sun Damage – The cumulative effects of sun damage and age leads to deepening of lines and wrinkles, and a massive breakdown of collagen and elastin fibers, the support structure that holds your skin in place. Your whole face starts to look droopy, and your skin will appear loose. Brown spots on your face may start to appear darker as well, further revealing your age.

The Good News – How To Look Younger Without Surgery

Ultherapy – Ultherapy is one of the latest non-surgical alternatives to plastic surgery available. This FDA-cleared technology is used to counteract the most common signs of aging, including sagging skin on the face and neck, deep lines and wrinkles, as well as dropping around the eyes.

The way Ultherapy works is by using ultrasound technology to heat and promote collagen formation, which creates a more youthful look overall. It is recommended for women (and men) of all skin tones and types, and there is no downtime.

RF Microneedling – RF Microneedling technology combines radio frequency and microneedling to stimulate collagen and tighten the skin. It works by injuring the skin in a controlled manner. This stimulates the growth of healthy new skin, which can benefit common skin issues like discoloration from sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles.

It is great for smoothing out the skin, and can also be used to treat loose skin on the body such as the neck, abdomen and inner arms. There is minimal downtime of only 2-3 days of healing, and typically treatment results are after three sessions, which are spaced out monthly.

Fractional CO2 Resurfacing – Often called the anti-aging breakthrough of the decade, Fractional CO2 combines the effectiveness of traditional carbon dioxide lasers with a new application technique to deliver powerful results. The goal of fractional laser treatment is simple; replace damaged skin with new fresh skin.

The primary targets of fractional CO2 include: fine lines and wrinkles of the face, Crow’s feet around the eyes, pucker marks and frown lines, brown spots and uneven skin tone, scars (especially acne scars), and stretch marks.
