Massage Is Not a Luxury, It's What Your Body Needs

This statement is so true because our work, activities, mode of transportation, and other daily tasks are making our bodies ache and are considerably increasing our stress level. We are in a constant state of motion with very little time to relax. Your body is talking to you the only way it knows how aches and pains. It can be as simple as experiencing a headache, a little soreness here and there, a sharp pain between your shoulder blades, or a cramp in your calf during the middle of the night.

All of these are warning signs from your body. It's shouting “I need a massage!”

For most of us, massage is a once a year splurge a great experience where you feel good for a couple of hours. However, therapeutic massage is much more than that. It will and should provide some serious relief. Techniques like deep tissue can be used (not necessary), along with stretches and other approaches in order to help correct muscle imbalances.

Massage is not a luxury anymore. A number of insurance providers and workplaces include it in a preventive healthcare program. So it may be worth considering as part of your regular health routine. To understand why massage is so important, you have to imagine that your muscles are doing work 24/7 (yes, even while you sleep!). They keep you straight when you walk, act as a barrier for your bones and organs, and they help with digestion (among other duties). Your muscles need some tender loving care after all of this hard work!

Massage is their reward where you can just let go physically and mentally; to let professionals take care of your aches and pains. People that receive massages on a regular basis (one to two times a month) will tell you this They gain a fluidity of movement, they are more energetic, and best of all, they sleep better! This is mainly due to the fact that massage helps with the regulation of hormones, blood circulation, the lymphatic system, and elimination of toxins. This ancient medicine helps with the prevention of many illnesses as well, such as high blood pressure, depression, and so many others.

So contact a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) near you and ask us questions. We're here to help!
