Kim Derrick, LMT, FDN-P

Kim is passionate about helping clients connect to their body, mind and spirit’s inherent desire for healing and wellness. She believes that everyone’s health journey is unique and her multi-pronged approach combines the stress relieving powers of massage coupled with functional lab testing to identify areas of metabolic imbalance and individualized coaching to restore vitality.

She first discovered the healing power of massage 12 years ago when as a young, working mother living in the Caribbean, she faced among other things crushing fatigue, pain, sleep issues, brain fog, panic attacks and an autoimmune condition.  Her healing led her on a journey of exploration in energy healing, Five Element traditional Chinese learning, meditation, yoga, various massage modalities, a functional health approach.  Also she gained an understanding that not all healing can be addressed through standard western allopathy.

Since that time, Kim has devoted her efforts to develop listening hands and learning about restoring vibrant health.  She is a 2018 graduate of the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Program and of the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage.  As an FDN health coach, massage therapist, student of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi bodywork, and Healing Prayer, she brings to her work a passion for healing with listening stillness, peaceful island vibes and a desire to have you feeling your best.

She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Association of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioners.
